The Bible in a Nutshell – new for Summer 2026!!
Written to help you to read and enjoy the whole Bible, the 66 chapters of this book summarise the 66 books of the Bible. The original vision was to help people in prison to read the Old Testament without getting lost, or giving up in lists of people and tribal land divisions. I pray that this book will help you to develop a love for Scripture.
The Bible in a Nutshell will help you to understand the main message of each Biblical book, and give you hooks on which to hang the text. The Old Testament summaries show how each book points forwards to Jesus. The New Testament summaries help you to think about what it means to follow Jesus. I hope this helps you to see that the Bible’s library of 66 books is in fact one big book with one continuous story; the history, and future, of God’s people, which includes you and me.

What they say…
‘The Bible in a Nutshell’? Well this book has cracked it! All the main points, with the fewest possible words. I have no hesitation in recommending this book to those in prison. Following Jesus is at the heart of each chapter and a wonderful journey of discovery and understanding awaits those who would seek to deepen their faith and live a Christ filled and transformed life.

‘The Bible can be overwhelming, so it is such a help to be able to reach for ‘The Bible in a Nutshell’ and get a quick grasp of what’s going on in each book and how it points to Jesus. It gives us the confidence to get started and read it for ourselves, or join a group and not feel we don’t know what’s going on.’
